End-of-line Flame Arrestor

The end-of-line flame arrestor (also known as flame arrestor breathing cap) is a safety device installed on the open ends of storage tanks, vessels, vent risers, gas outlets and other equipment.It prevents external flames from entering the equipment through the nozzle, and also stops flames from spreading outward if the gas inside the equipment is ignited.

Working Principle

Slit Quenching:When external flame enters the flame arrestor element (corrugated plates, wire mesh or porous metal), it is split into countless ultra-narrow channels. Heat is rapidly conducted away by the metal walls, extinguishing the flame and blocking its access into the equipment interior.

Anti-Backfire & External Ignition Prevention:Dual protective function: it stops open flames from outside igniting gas inside the tank, and also contains combustion flames from the tank from spreading outward.

Weatherproof Structural Design:The end-of-line type is equipped with rainproof, splash-proof and dust-proof constructions, allowing direct outdoor installation.



Structural Composition

Shell:Carbon steel / 304 / 316L stainless steel, flange connection complying with GB, HG, ANSI, DIN, GOST standards.

Flame Arrestor Element (Core Component):304 or 316L corrugated plates, multi-layer wire mesh or porous metal; the clearance is designed according to the MESG value of the medium.

Sealing Parts:PTFE, fluoroelastomer (FKM), metal graphite gaskets
