Detonation Flame Arrestor
Detonation flame arrestors are designed to block the reverse propagation of supersonic detonation flames (1000–3000 m/s). They are compatible with all flammable gas groups IIA, IIB and IIC (including hydrogen and acetylene).

Working Principle
Slit Quenching:When flame flows through narrow channels formed by corrugated plates, wire mesh or porous metal (gap smaller than the MESG of the process medium), heat is rapidly dissipated, which extinguishes the flame.
Detonation Resistance:Capable of blocking supersonic flame and completely quenching it.
Burn Resistance:Withstands short-duration sustained burning to protect the flame arrestor element from burnout damage.
Instant Detonation Pressure Resistance:Can resist transient detonation pressure impact ranging from 20 bar to 100 bar.
Structural Composition
Shell:Carbon steel / 304 / 316L stainless steel, flange connection (standards: GB, HG, ANSI, DIN, GOST)
Flame Arrestor Element (Core Component):304 or 316L corrugated plates, multi-layer wire mesh or porous metal; internal gaps engineered in accordance with the MESG of the medium.
Sealing Components:PTFE, fluoroelastomer (FKM), metal graphite gaskets
