Deflagration Flame Arrestor
The deflagration-proof flame arrestor is a safety device installed on flammable gas/vapor pipelines or equipment nozzles. It allows normal gas flow while stopping the propagation of backfire from subsonic deflagration flames (

Working Principle
Slit Quenching:When flame enters narrow channels formed by corrugated plates, wire mesh or porous metal (gap smaller than the MESG of the medium), heat is rapidly dissipated, thus extinguishing the flame.
Deflagration Resistance:Blocks subsonic deflagration; not suitable for detonation resistance.
Burn Resistance:Withstands short-duration burning to prevent the flame arrester element from being damaged by sustained combustion.
Structural Composition
Shell:Carbon steel / 304 / 316L stainless steel, flange connection (GB, HG, ANSI, DIN, GOST standards)
Flame Arrestor Element (Core Component):304 or 316L corrugated plates, multi-layer wire mesh or porous metal; gaps designed according to the MESG of the medium.
Sealing Components:PTFE / fluoroelastomer (FKM) / metal graphite gaskets
