Multi-cartridge Backwash Filter
Multi-cartridge Backwash Filter is a fully automatic precision filtration device equipped with multiple filter cartridges in parallel. It performs offline backwashing of individual cartridges one by one while the rest stay online for continuous filtration, achieving uninterrupted fluid flow throughout the whole operation.

Structural Composition
Vessel: Vertical / horizontal type, made of carbon steel (Q235) or 304/316L stainless steel, with pressure-bearing sealing structure.
Filter Cartridge Assembly: Equipped with 3 to 30 stainless steel filter cartridges (wedge wire screen / sintered mesh / pleated mesh), arranged vertically or horizontally.
Cartridge-by-Cartridge Backwash Mechanism: Consists of rotating backwash arm and sealing seat; only one or two cartridges are targeted for offline backwashing at a time.
Actuator: Electric or pneumatic type to drive the backwash arm and drain valve.
Control System: PLC / microcomputer controller, supporting three operation modes: differential pressure trigger, timed trigger and manual trigger, equipped with alarm function and remote signal transmission.
Working Principle
Normal Filtration:Fluid flows through the filter cartridges from outside to inside; contaminants are trapped on the outer surface of cartridges, and clean fluid discharges from the outlet.
Backwash Trigger:Cartridge-by-cartridge backwashing is activated when the differential pressure reaches the set value (0.05~0.2 MPa) or the preset cleaning cycle expires.
Offline Cartridge-by-Cartridge Backwashing:The rotating backwash arm aligns with only one or two cartridges at a time. It cuts off the filtration passage of the targeted cartridges and opens the drain port. The remaining cartridges stay online for continuous filtration, so the system maintains uninterrupted flow without shutdown.
Sequential Cycle:Once one cartridge is fully cleaned, the arm automatically switches to the next one. The cycle repeats until all cartridges are backwashed, then the unit resumes normal filtration mode.
