Pipeline sight glass

Pipeline Sight Glass is an observation accessory mounted on industrial pipelines, used for real-time monitoring of flow condition, color, liquid level, impurities and reaction status of medium (liquid, gas, steam, solid-liquid mixture) inside pipelines. It is widely adopted in petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, environmental protection and other industries.

Main Types

Straight Through Sight Glass:Straight structure with flanges at both ends, enabling 360° full viewing angle, simple construction.

Tubular Sight Glass:Cylinder made of transparent glass tube with full viewing range, commonly used for low-pressure service.

Impeller / Float Sight Glass:Equipped with internal impeller or float to visually indicate fluid flow existence and flow rate.

Wafer / Single-Press Sight Glass:Compact structure, suitable for medium and low-pressure pipelines.

Welding Requirements:Welding construction shall follow GB 50236-2011 Code for Construction Quality Acceptance of Field Equipment & Industrial Piping Welding Engineering.

Weld joints feature smooth transition and must pass Class II radiographic non-destructive testing (NDT).

Shell Requirements:Smooth inner wall free of burrs; complete degreasing and oil removal treatment for the entire unit.
