Basket filter

Basket strainer is a general-purpose equipment for removing solid particles in pipeline systems. It protects downstream equipment including pumps, valves, heat exchangers and instruments, and is widely used in water treatment, petrochemical, food & pharmaceutical, HVAC and other industries.

Working Principle

Fluid enters the housing through the inlet and flows outward from the inner side of the filter basket. Solid contaminants (sediment, rust, welding slag, particles) are trapped inside the basket, and clean fluid passes through the mesh and exits via the outlet. The cover can be opened periodically to take out and clean the filter basket for repeated use.
